This solution is ideal for spots that absorb too much heat, such as attics, basements, garages or porches.

Use a good thermostat. A zoned thermostat gives you control of the temperature in specific areas of your house. Thus, you can easily adjust for the hot spot rather than have your entire home’s cooling system working on overdrive due to that one location.
